All these years, have we learnt anything? have they really meant a thing? What have all these lives added up to? All the people who have lived and yet how many times can history repeat itself? How many people will continue to die through war, famine, poverty and disease? Time is infinite our lives anything but yet we waste our lives trapped by a society we didn't even create (yet are content to maintain) If we have learnt anything it is how not to care how to hate to only think of ourselves And all we do is switch off our minds Is this really it? Are we really just killing time waiting till we die? Drowning in a society devoid of hope We had the capability of creating utopia and all we created was a living hell.
2.
Self Denial 01:09
We live our lives in constant self denial Internalised values that dictate our insecurities From birth our confidence negated Belief in ourselves stripped Conformity, dependency and mediocrity the rule And we don't even dare to dream Even though we all hold the key to our own independence The bitter price of failure holding us in place Conformity, dependency and mediocrity the rule.
3.
Development 01:35
We talk of "one world" while people starve in the Third We talk of freedom And hold on to the key Yet knowing this society's democracy is no more than a regime. The only thing we ever learn from history is that we are doomed to repeat it Statistics for ballistics because this is development How developed do you have to be before you are developed? _______ This lyric should have actually said "because we do not learn from history we are doomed to repeat it"

Wouldn't it be nice... If people only got pregnant when they wanted to? To have it all under control. Then there wouldn't really be a need for abortion. Well, welcome to the REAL works and things look a lot different. No-one should have the right to dictate to woman what she should do with her body or for the rest of her fucking life Do you think by illegalising abortions that abortions are going to stop? (just take a look back and you'll know the answer) we need free state abortions that are safe and hygienic (without apology) not a return to unsafe and fatal backstreet abortions.

Another punk rock product on another punk rock shelf Where's the line between rebellion and conformity? Where do you fit in yourself? Why do you just follow trends? Live your life of pretence Scared what you may find If you relised your own mind and the fact that you could really lead your own life and these decisions could be yours to decide Wannabe rock-stars, using the underground scene as a stepping stone to your CD deal (and major label control), Selling your integrity for commercial gain Your music just another product to be sold a diluted message of artificial rebellion So nicely packaged, so easy to swallow It's now too safe, NO RULES now means NEW RULES Music, bands, record sleeves, attitudes, morals, membership schemes, agents, contracts, guarantees, buying elitist, selling consumerist scenes. If you relised your own mind and the fact that you could really lead your own life and these decisions could be yours to decide.
6.
The language of hate Taught every fucking day Is it any wonder people turn out this way? Frustrated inner-selves can't find or speak mind The cog wheels turn and society leaves you behind The force of rules The actions of hate Contently stuffed fat on pride Never really stepped out of line It's not even my own choice to fucking decide All I know is I was born and I will die The language of school the politics of state
7.
Fear 00:24
We're taught to live in fear Fear of doing the wrong thing Fear of not fitting in And it stops us from being Who we really are And from doing What we really want to do.

Something is wrong Something is really fucked up When everything has its price When everything can be bought and sold Your body, your ideals, your integrity, your conscience, your dreams, your future, your life - WHAT'S YOUR PRICE? Something is wrong Something is really fucked up When everything has a price When everything can be owned and manipulated "Democracy", human beings, the earth, our freedom, our spirituaity, sexuality and thoughts - NAME YOUR PRICE! But not me, i refuse to play your game - a society based on greed is paramount to suicide.

about

Kitchener Manchester, UK

Kitchener were a hardcore punk band from Manchester, England.

Their music reflected their personal lives; chaotic, out-of-control, and violent. They were genuinely angry at the world, hated fascists and had real issues with the police, and despised the conformity in the punk and anarchist scene as much as in the mainstream world outside. ... more
